What’s new with Converting (DPF4C)?

Have you ever had the need to convert Lotus Notes emails to PDF/TIF for long term storage within a DMS, PLM or ECM Systems? It is now possible with the newest version of the DPF4Convert solution. SEAL Systems has been converting Microsoft Outlook messages and we now offer similar functionality for Lotus Notes.

Another innovation with the DPF is a solution to create interactive callouts within PDFs that point to tags on a drawing. The final drawing is referred to as a “Smart PDF.” This includes, for example, identifying fields within a spreadsheet/text list or BOM containing specific information. This information is then interactively added to the PDF drawing based on key fields. Tags can be clicked or previewed to show this additional information. This automatic data collection and tagging process saves several hours of manual work for users.

New Product Development: Follow Me Printing

SEAL Systems has developed new mobile technology incorporating Corporate Output Management functionalities. Follow - Me -Printing allows users to print files & job lists directly to a virtual location where the job is stored in a queue within the output server provided by SEAL Systems. From there, the user can log into a printing device by scanning a barcode, swiping a badge or manually entering a code into a touch screen to enable the device, releasing the documents from the output server to the triggered output device. Benefits include a reduction in wasted paper, and secure and confidential output to the recipient.

Have you ever had the need to convert Lotus note emails to PDF/TIF for long term storage within any DMS, PLM or ECM System? It is now possible with the new version of the DPF4Covert solution. SEAL Systems has been converting outlook files as a standard, and we now offer the same functionality for Lotus Notes.

Something to also consider, the DPF has been used to create interactive call outs within PDF drawings. The final drawing is referred to as a “Smart PDF.” The functionality of this solution includes, for example, identifying fields within a BOM or other form or document containing significant information. This information is then interactively added to the PDF drawing based on the appropriate field within the BOM. These automatic data collection and populating processes save several hours of manual work for users.
