Digital Rights Managment

SEAL Systems announces a new extension to the DPF Convert and View software which includes the Adobe Digital Rights Management Module. Adding DRM to existing PDF files will secure the contents by requiring additional authentication, expiration dates, or even limitations on number of views.
This enhancement enables the secure view and distribution of files outside a company’s document management system, where it is critical to control file access and view allocation. This guarantees the data protection for corporations requiring complete control of information and document exchange in every project stage from product development, cooperation with suppliers, creation of work instructions, asset management and more.
With DPF in collaboration with DRM, all document access control is managed by a centralized server. All necessary document information and data is stored in the server, not in the document.
Once the file is created in its native application and stored within the document management system, it can be sent to the SEAL DPF server, where the document is converted to PDF and stamped with associated document meta data. With the DRM Module, all security information is applied to the document automatically during convert or view. DRM protected documents are then encrypted and can only be read with full control of the DRM server or by entering a pass code for log-in.
